CNN's Athena Jones investigates if Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is eligible to run for president. CNN says the "natural-born citizen" question is dogging Cruz. For the record, CNN said every constitutional law expert they interviewed for said Cruz is a natural-born citizen and eligible to be president.

So now the communist news network decides to see if Sen. Cruz is eligible to be POTUS? Why did they not look into 0 bummer’s eligibility in 2007?
I know, the SRM leans so fat left, their left arm is on the ground.
Oh, but they didn’t ask the Freeper experts...
But Ted Cruz (as delightful as he is) is not and has not been elected to be POTUS. So you cannot use him as an example of why Obambam is legal.
Natural Born citizen is the child of parents who were citizens. I don’t know if one citizen parent is enough. But, probably that is OK, since the post in Canada was temporary. Her citizenship would pass to her baby.
Thanks for the info.
(not that following basic Constitutional law seems to matter to anyone anymore these days)......
See, the problem is that Ted has already screwed up by not hiding and locking up ALL historical traces of his past history like Obama.
CNN says that Obama’s eligibility is “settled or at least moot”.
The fact they are bringing up Cruz like this means they are scared crapless over Cruz....
I would say that by the end of 2015 they will be so scared that they would even consider “outing” Obama in his last term to prevent Cruz from even running.....
If they think it will help them win the “inevitable coronation” of Hillary they will throw Obama under the Bus....
Which is what they're planning on. Eligibility will be front and center of every political story and they'll destroy him with it. He's doing a fine job where he is so why fix something that isn't broken. Leave him where he is and run someone who was born in the US of two US citizens.

Did Ted Cruz ever have to go through a citizenship test?
If the answer is NO, then he is “Natural Born”.
And if he did, I am sure he could easily pass it, unlike the Teleprompter reader.
Cruz must be scaring liberals to death that they would bring up the eligibility issue. In opening this issue it raises the murky past of Barry Sotero who likely used Indonesian citizenship to go to Pakistan and get college scholarships as a foreign student.
Didn’t the Washington Post pay people to go through Sara Palin’s trash barrels?
If Ted Cruz’s dad did not become a U.S. citizen until after Ted was born, Ted Cruz would not be a natural born citizen.
I’ve supported Ted Cruz and he has exceeded my expectations in his short time up in the Senate, but....but....if he was not born of two U.S. citizen parents, he does not fall into the constitutional criteria to become POTUS.
The constitution is more important than any single person whether on our side or the liberal pukes.
If the Canadian born Cruz is eligible, and birther tea party republicans love him, then, according to the official obamabio, complete with multiple BCs,
"Hawaiian born" obama, the world loved, Nobel prize winning twice elected POTUS, is definitely eligible! So STFU birthers!
Get everyone to accept this new lesser definition for NBC and make the issue go away!
Even if it means dealing with a President Cruz...should he get that far. They survived two terms of Reagan and look where we are now!
This makes me wonder if the GOPe is pooping little green apples along with the rest of their obama co-conspirators.
It makes me wonder just how close we are to learning some really fun stuff about the one known as "obama".
I know one thing for certain: Cruz is most certainly qualified to take McConnell's job and I'd much rather see him lead the Senate!
As a side benefit, that possibility terrifies all the right people, if you know what I mean.
Can you imagine how much better our world would be with someone like Senate Majority/minority Leader, riding Constitution on presidents of both sides for however long a person can keep that job, not to mention riding Constitution on the crap Reid has tried to do and gotten away with, like obamacare?
But, like I started saying, I believe CNN is completely unbiased and acting without influence of partisan preferences with this report.
Cruz should just produce a poorly photoshopped record of birth for CNN.

Apologies for myerrors.
Cruz isn’t eligible and neither is Rubio or Jindal but at this point it looks like after 8 years of another total non eligible president I’m not going to worry about Cruz. He would be an excellent president and he actually loves his country and is a patriot.
CNN should do the same research regarding Rubio’s eligibility. ....He’s not eligible, because both parents were citizens of Cuba when he was born.
Seems that if you go by the courts, once the party nominates somebody, only Congress can complain. Obviously private citizens - whose lives are directly impacted by Presidential signatures - have no standing to even raise the question.
How old is Cruz?
IIRC, when this issue was discussed re: Obama, part of the problem was that, according to the laws in place at the time, Obama was not natural born because his mother was too young to confer citizenship and his father was not a citizen.
Also, IIRC, the laws were changed after Obama’s birth, but not made retroactive.
So, if Cruz is younger than Obama, then he could be a NBC under the same circumstances by virtue of birth under the revised laws.
I’m just going by memory here, and it’s not something I’ve looked at for a few years, so I could be wrong...
