It is a common practice for police departments to trade in their old side arms and their inventory of Unclaimed, Confiscated or Forfeited firearms in inventory as part of payment for the new firearms.
Ha! That’s the least smart thung I have read on freep in a while. Evidence is either returned to the owner or if they don’t claim it (in the case of guns) is destroyed.
