Trouble with that is that is that a lot of “small towns” now “farm out” their police departments to another entity like ours does. We “contract” with the county sheriff’s dept. to provide “police services,” and as a consequence, our “police officers” are not “locals,” but rather a bunch of misfits withs size 44 uniforms and size 4 hats.. So much for “community” policing,”
Yes, it reminds of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Get that boat towed back in to land, would have been its only hope.
