Massachusetts has had an "affirmative housing" law for years.Long story short...my neighborhood,*very* left wing,*very* prosperous Boston suburb (but I'm not rich)...a developer proposed building "affordable housing" on a parcel of idle land.The neighborhood went *ballistic*! "Think of the children"."It's unsafe"."It would damage the environment".
