Actually, the problem is that the local CBS station wants MORE $$ from the cable company under a FCC authorized scheme called retransmission consent, where the cable systems has to pay the station a fee on a per subscriber basis.

At first glance I thought it said a dispute "over feces".

Which would be apt for CBS.

I believe it's actually the other way around. CBS is demanding TWC pay 600% more to carry it's programming. while I'm no fan of TWC or CBS I think it's kinda of a steep increase for programming that's available at no charge to over the airwaves viewers.

The "fees" are not being levied by TWC. It's CBS that wants a lot more money in the new contract, so CBS are the ones demanding a lot more "fees".
