This is the final proof needed: We are the Soviet Union in every regard. This sort of behavior is reminiscient of the category of Soviets known, in the original Russian, as номенклату́ра, or the nomenklatura.
The nomenklatura had very special privileges and were exempt from most of the laws governing the more common Soviet citizen. Mostly made up of Communists, this class of people were immune from prosecution in many cases, and were granted vast privileges not available to the lower classes.
This is unacceptable in the utter extreme, and MUST BE THE DRIVING THEME INTO 2014 ELECTIONS. THIS ONE WILL IGNITE THE PUBLIC OUTRAGE LIKE NOTHING ELSE.

I don't want to sound defeated Laz but think I am. May you be correct. May the electronic vote not be counted by the electronics. To be specific ... Think stalin.

We need to immediately work to get the Soviet experience back into to consciousness of the public. If people don't remember what it was like, they won't recognize the comparisons.
I believe Tea Party, other activist groups, and we as individuals need to continuously draw the comparisons.
I was in the Soviet Union when I was a teen. Kids in Leningrad would climb through the hotel ventilation to get up to our floor to trade. They would search the room for bugs. Without knowing any English, they would put their finger over their lips and whisper "KGB" as they did their sweep.
