Maybe if you only fire 50 cal sabot rounds? (hmmmm 6500fps, 650gr...)

I saw an earlier incarnation of this story that mentioned they can shoot it without an NFA permit as long as they use black powder (i.e.., not smokeless). One guy in an earlier video ended up fracturing his clavicle after shooting it.

You mean a Brown Bess Musket is an NFA arm? (.75 caliber)

I think I'd check on that. It may be listed as a "destructive device", but I thought those had to be specified By BATFE or someone..

Unless they are particularily suitable for “sporting” purposes, which means the BATFE bureaucrats get to decide on a case by case basis.

I think the big double rifles in .600 and .700 nitro were ruled as exceptions.
