It would be "proof" that Obama is not weak and impotent among foreign nations/relations, giving him and his people [not blacks, his supporters and allies: statists & socialists] something concrete to point to. It could even be mitigated/spun as regrettable, but necessary [to save the Ambassador's life]

One has to imagine MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NBC, etc., showing Christopher Stevens photo, saying “the terrorists are going to kill him unless their demands are met”.. blah blah..
