I did not leave the Catholic Church...The Church left me.
Take all of this Social Justice and give it to obie.
I love my faith so I practice it alone now.
How do you practice faith, hope and love alone? How do you celebrate Mass alone and receive the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus alone?
The Church is Jesus Christ. He never leaves you. He wants you with him. It's your choice. Jesus did say: feed the hungry and so on. I really do feel sorry for the children of the down and out. They do breed, unfortunately, and don't see to the needs of their children.
Oh well, I'm the last person in the world to condemn you. I wish you well--it's not so nice to feel as if the Church, that is Jesus, left you.
By the way, there never will be social justice, never. If it does happen occasionally, it's a fluke, just a fluke. It's not the goal that is ever attainable, but the journey and effort in trying for good. But you know that.
Right now I am going on a journey to the freezer for a smallish bowl of ice cream.
