Russian vodka in a Chicago gay bar?Nyet.
In response to the passage of anti-gay laws in Russia and subsequent clashes between police and gay activists there some Chicago gay bars are pulling Russian vodka and other spirits from their offerings in protest.

Just emailed some friends that I will be bringing large amounts of Stoli to this year’s fantasy football draft.
I don’t play fantasy football, but can I attend?
Awesome!
The gay tactics against Russian Vodka and other pro family products is troubling and fascistic.
I love REAL Russian vodka. It puts our domestic brands to shame.
What is a good brand of real Russian Vodka ? Thanks in advance to any and all who advise on a good brand.

Russian vodka is crap anyway, Polish Wodka is much better.
Do they make good Roosky wine???
Seriously, “gay” [homo sodomist] anything is great sadness and hate centered around some cheap thrills.
The old Stolichnaya was pretty good. I don’t know if it kept its character post glasnost.
They can’t make up their mind whether to go gaga over the bare chested Putin or to execrate him, now.
In reality, a sad sad situation and not one I would want to joke about a lot. It would be like joking about people who are addicted to eating Drano. “Gayness” is like eating spiritual Drano.
I’ve got a bottle of Zyr vodka that is Russian - and very good in my opinion. In general, I agree with you, Poland and Finland do make some fine spirits.
There is no real Russian vodka, only the stuff they stole from the Poles.
I want to know which of the Chicago Bears are gay.....what?....it’s gay bars and not gay bears?....never mind.
There’s no substitute for Grey Goose.
I’m going to pick up as many bottles as I can. I don’t drink much either, but if friends come ‘round or I have to sell it for ammo money in a dystopic future, good to have Vodka and stick it to the Sodomites at the same time!
Viva la Rus!
Since privatization, the number of Russian alcohol brands, not just vodka, has skyrocketed. For example:
Baltika beer. Baltika manufactures a broad range of beer brands. Apart from its eponymous brand, the company produces including beer under the Arsenalnoe, Nevskoe, Yarpivo, Tuborg, Carlsberg, and Kronenbourg names, as well as 11 other beverages. They make a non-alcohol beer, lite beer, wheat beer, malt liquor, pale ale and dark beer.
They also produce outside of Russia.
Tinkoff beer. Bought by InBev (that owns Budweiser).
Probably the best of the vodka brands:
Zyr
Russian Diamond
Cristall (best known for its champagne)
Ivan the Terrible
Ruskova
Imperia
Russian Shot
Czar’s Gold
Ikon
RU Classic
Dmitri Ivanabitch (really)
Kalashnikov
Diplomat
Russian Standard
Moskovskaya
Mstinskaya
Kauffman Luxury
Stolichnaya (which has dozens of subtypes)
There are also many that are so freaking expensive, premium vodkas, that you will likely never see them sold as retail in the US.
Shampanskoye (champagne) and konyak (Cognac) are now changing their names to “sparkling wine” and “brandy”, to be polite to the French. By Putin’s order. They are very, very popular in Russia.
My favorite nephew married a Russian girl who thinks highly of Russian Standard brand of vodka.
