I still do not understand what the point of a boycott here is. Boycotts usually are meant to spur on some action, so that the boycott will be ended when something you want gets done. What exactly are they demanding be done in order to end this boycott? Zimmerman can’t be tried again, so that is not a possibility. What exactly do they expect Florida to do?

I think they want the Stand Your Ground law repealed in Florida. Gov. Rick Scott has already said the law is fine as is and will not be changed. Besides, the STG law had nothing to do with the Zimmerman trial.

There are plenty of blacks in Florida that a real and sizable boycott could also hurt in the process. Like in 2010, when that idiot DemoRAT representative Raul Grijalva from southern Arizona, called for a boycott of Arizona because of the proposed state immigration law....until someone pointed out to him that he was calling for a boycott of his own district and his constituents. Stupid liberal fool.

I think this boycott talk, like most bluster about boycotts, is all rhetoric with not oomph behind it. Nothing will change. People won’t stop going to Disney World or stop buying orange juice.
