Semantic difference. My good ol’ dad worked on some of the shuttle life support systems in Downey.

I remember for several years after WWII the camouflage city on top of North American and the search lights. Downey is also home of the longest operating McDonalds Hamburgers.

Did they ever tear down the Carpenters’ house?

These guys have been on the road for 30 years and they dont have enough brains to have the tshirt guy sleep in the van?Especially since 1999 vans probably didn't even have alarm systems.

The New Wave band from England was best known for the 1982 single "I Ran (So Far Away)" which hit heavy rotation on the airwaves in the early days of MTV.I don't remember the song, but I do remember the days when there was actual music on MTV.

I really liked that song (I Ran). It is an iconic hit of the Eighties...when you hear it, you unmistakably hear...the Eighties. Not very deep, but...good song. I always thought of them as one hit wonders.
“I Ran”
I walked along the avenue.
I never thought I’d meet a girl like you;
Meet a girl like you.
With auburn hair and tawny eyes;
The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through;
Hypnotize me through.
And I ran, I ran so far away.
I just ran, I ran all night and day.
I couldn’t get away.
A cloud appears above your head;
A beam of light comes shining down on you,
Shining down on you.
The cloud is moving nearer still.
Aurora borealis comes in view;
Aurora comes in view.
And I ran, I ran so far away.
I just ran, I ran all night and day.
I couldn’t get away.
Reached out a hand to touch your face;
You’re slowly disappearing from my view;
Disappearing from my view.
Reached out a hand to try again;
I’m floating in a beam of light with you;
A beam of light with you.
And I ran, I ran so far away.
I just ran, I ran all night and day.
I couldn’t get away.

If this theft keeps that flock of fairies from making that noise they call music, I’m willing to look the other way.

First concert I ever attended. The opening band was The Fixx at SDSU.
