In a way, this reminds me of when out-of-work African-Americans along the Cypress Freeway in Oakland crawled through the collapsed freeway after the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989 looking for survivors.

Ordinary people are motivated to do extraordinary things during emergencies.

Like the guy who was there to rescue the kidnapped girls in Cleveland a few months ago.

Thanks for mentioning that! Reminded me of when I had a satellite live feed during the '89 quake, and watched as several black men did some amazing rescues. BUT--those scenes were NEVER shown on the local or national TV broadcasts.

Lots of "live feeds" I got to see should have been edited (like newscasters combing their hair before going "on air")--but those scenes should have been shown!

Showed me just how the "news" we see is so often not what really happened. Downright scary!

But, concerning this article of good news--God bless George Zimmerman!
