I’m wondering what I should do for the next Canteen project.

The Birth of the Blues! (part 1,2, etc!)

Jazz and Blues are my weakest areas, unfortunately.

I might try to cover the period in the Fifties when country and rock interacted, and when the blues, country and pop merged into rock.

There are a lot of complicated threads there. I found that out when I did the Fathers of Hot Country.

Funny how Keith was playing arenas in Japan for ten thousand and Mick was gigging at a club in Cambridge, MA. for a few hundred. I guess Keith just drips legacy, but I’d opt for Mick and Blondie Chaplin on any given night. “Giddy Up” is a great showcase. Mick’s solo on “Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’” is one of the Stones’ hallmarks.
