My guess: He was dead before he was put into the car, which was rigged to explode and burn, and destroy the evidence of his prior death. The big question: who dunnit, and why? Was he “interrogated” first? Did he put up too much of a struggle, and they had to mark him up? His fiery “exploding car” ending just stinks to high heaven.

Your theory is making lots of sense to me.

I didn't think of them killing him first, then putting him in the car.

This "sort of" fits the M.O. of Obama's 3 gay Trinity-Church-Choir lovers being shot inside their homes.

Those 3 were shot and left on their floors, but doing that to Hastings was too high-profile, since Obamatollah is President, and Hastings is printing high-profile stories.

LA Coroner technician, Michael Cormier, dropped dead of arsenic poisoning the same day his office released the Breitbart autopsy report. That got me thinking when I read that 2 cops (unmarked car) got ambushed at 4AM returning to their Police Station ON THE SAME STREET where Hastings crashed.

If he was alive, I think he was driving either to the AIRPORT (to catch early 6am/7am flight and 'go off the radar'), or driving to the POLICE STATION farther along Highland (to meet cops in a panic after spotting Obama's thugs from Agency XYZ tailing him). See map below.
