WELL, I HAVE SEEN A BIT OF DETROIT ON GOOGLE MAPS—AND YOU HAVE BLOCKS AND BLOCKS THAT ARE EMPTY LOTS. SOME AREAS LOOK LIKE FIELDS WITH A HOUSE HERE AN A HOUSE THERE. IT WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE FOR HOMESTEADERS—BUT I DON’T THINK THE GOVERNMENT WOULD ALLOW THAT. I DON’T THINK THEY’D MIND IF CHICAGO NY AND LA & PHILLY WENT THE SAME WAY.
“IT WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE FOR HOMESTEADERSBUT I DONT THINK THE GOVERNMENT WOULD ALLOW THAT.”
Newark NJ is trying to sell the idea of a “teachers village” where people (I guess the public employees) that work in Newark can re-colonize it with “legitimate” consumers (I don’t consider public employees legitimate consumers in such a case; they take much more than they’ll ever contribute). As they are having Trayvon demonstrations (blocking traffic intersections) in that area, I don’t imagine they’ll get many takers.
People in the Newark area know there is nothing safer between you and Newark than a fast-moving moat...
Homesteaders? Ask yourself: Would you farm land that’s experienced a century of heavy metal air pollution?
Oh, and please stop shouting. It’s rude.
