Actually, I'd say it boils down to "who first presented themself as a viable threat to life or limb?" The evidence supports Zimmerman's statement that Martin did by throwing the first punch. My 10-year-old daughter could not be presented to a jury as a viable threat to life or limb for simply throwing a first punch. Martin's size and capabilities however, put him into a different light than some others.
