I try to avoid those places, but if I am ever caught in one, whoever steps in front of me is just one run over sob. I am not stopping.
In a movie context I think the operative line was “I hate Illinois Nazis” (then “varoom ... VAROOOM!”)
My response as well to anyone that thinks standing in front of me to get me to stop for other than a legitimate reason. I live near the border and have twice had illegals try to force me to stop- force me to give them a ride? Carjacking plans? I have no idea but they changed their mind when they realized I was seriously going to run over them. I nearly took out a hitchhiker on a freeway onramp once that thought he could get me to stop by stepping in front of me. He jumped back when he realized I was not stopping or even slowing down.
Once a group of illegals put a woman and baby in the highway to stop me, the men were standing beside the road, I just headed for one of the men and they all scattered. I do notify Border Patrol when this has happened in case the illegals have some sort of emergency situation going on, but never do I stop.
A rancher’s wife ran over an illegal that tried to force her to stop a few years back and at first illegal supporter groups/authorities were going to try to make it a big deal to get her in trouble but she hired an attorney and it all went away.
Nope I am not stopping for some fool that has their own agenda and I taught my daughters to never stop in that situation either.
