If he’d needed a second shot, he was SOL. Of course, it probably jammed from being limp wristed firing from that awkward position.

Kel Tecs are OK, but hardly a first tier handgun.

I recall reading some time ago (long, long, long time) about a fellow doing point blank tests into dead animals to test ammo.

The surprise was how many times the weapon was disabled by pieces from the animal - wouldn't go back into battery.

Moral of his research - if you're using an auto, don't stick the muzzle up against your target or you might not get a second shot (should you need it).

I read (here) that George shot through his jacket and the slide snagged on the fabric.

You're right on about Kel Tecs. They can certainly benefit from some stones and semichrome applied by skilled hands.
