Pointing out that the last major race riot in the U.S. occurred 21 years ago in Los Angeles, Marc W. Polite writes at Time magazine that early calls for calm before a verdict is rendered in George Zimmerman's second-degree-murder trial run "counter to recent history, and may be akin to racial fear mongering."
As the trial of George Zimmerman winds down, the Orlando police are reportedly bracing for possible riots in the event that the defendant walks. The Broward County Sheriff's Office release two public service announcements urging people to "raise their voice, not their hands" if they are unhappy with the verdict. Meanwhile, church leaders, who have been given seats at the trial, have pledged to use their influence in the community to quell any violence.

They will if the press and race hustlers have anything to do with it. That includes Holder’s “Just Us” department.
Its a safe bet... they always enjoy trashing their own neighborhoods if the ball don’t bounce their way.
Heck...they even riot if it does.

Zimmerman walks = “they’re rioting because of the continued lack of social justice”.
Zimmerman guilty = “they’re rioting out of jubilation for a smidgeon of social justice”.
I am praying hard they won’t riot..I hope everyone does the same..GZ should have never been on trial for this..That young man could have run away instead of bashing GZ’s head on the cement..Live by the sword you will die by the sword.. God bless everyone involved in this trial and let the jury say GZ is not guilty.You saw the same railroading of this young man as we did so Lord do not let them get away with any of this..Also show how Obama has been involved in this so people will see what criminal he is.. I think all the expectations of riots are making it more likely there will be riots. The media of course is dying to report on riots and Obama will get off on it.

Rioting will be limited. Individual incidences of violence will increase.
I know that there are many people who seem to be in denial about these threats, but they are very real. Whether any of the threats were serious remains to be seen, but there will be trouble.

Yep, I think you are right. The targeting of whites will increase if zimmerman is aquitted.
I think the Chinese Indians will riot.
No riots just lynchings that the legacy press will ignore.
Law enforcement MUST assume, or they will be unprepared if riots happen.
It's pretty safe to "assume" they're going riot when this verdict comes down. It is also safe to assume that the past five years of white folks' buying up an arsenal that could equip the army of a medium sized country is about to pay off.
Just think of all the future trials of white abusers who tried to interfere with the mobs expressing their righteous demand for justice.
And Obama and Holder will be there every step of the way to make sure the racists pay a steep price if they do try to interfere .
The country has been arming up for a while. It has literally become a hair trigger in wait for someone to break down the front door.
If the violence spreads outside the hood ..... it will not end well.
It is basically profiling at the institutional level when law enforcement expects the worst from a segment of the community and broadcasts that negative expectation to the media. And isn’t profiling eschewed by liberals? Or is it like racist pejoratives, okay for them but taboo for everyone else?
The incidents cited in this article are yet another week attempt to paint the justice system as racist. I have a friend that’s a police officer. She (yes she) said she spends damn near half of her work day going to sensitivity training, harrassment training, and all other kinds of training. She says she trains for eveything except how to enforce the law. Obviously she’s exaggerating, but the point is the police are all tied up in knots worrying about PC stuff nowadays.
My message to all minorites is you have nothing to worry about.....seriously. Police are there to protect all of us...black, white, blue, hispanic, gay, straight...even white people. They understand this job and take it quite seriously.
Please stop slandering them as if is 1890 Selma Alabama. It was sad back then, yes, but those days are gone. My Grandfather was killed in WW II. Neverthess, my best friend is Japanese. You see how this works. It’s called acting like an adult....not a stupid idiot. I don’t hold onto crap and I certainly don’t blame my friend for something he had nothing to do with.
Now, with that said, are police a little macho, sometimes over-bearing, arrogant, and perhaps a bit pushy? Yes!! This is the kind of person you want as a police officer. If you want touchy-feely....go talk to to a teacher or a Yoga instructor. Law enforcement takes a special kind of person.
As far as potential riots go, peal back everything and what you have is a man walking down a path, getting attacked, and defending his life with the use of a handgun. Nothing that happened before or after that one minute ‘confrontation period’ is relevant. Black people and white people have all seen the same case. Zimmerman is not guilty no matter what color you are as you watch the court room drama.
