Okay. It’s real simple. Whenever you go out to eat, and they give you too many french fries (they always do), take the extras home and freeze them. When you’re too lazy to cook, throw a couple handfuls of fries in a pot. Add whatever extras you have like onions and chunks of ham. Put some kind of liquid in the pot, like chicken broth, and boil it until it’s done. Add seasonings to taste. Right at the end, if you have heavy cream, by all means put that in.
It never comes out the same way twice, but it’s always good.

That’s not what you do with leftover french fries. You pan fry them in butter, then add sufficient beaten egg and cook through. Top with a little salsa and sour cream. Food of the gods, that is.
