You apparently (without the courtesy of inquiring further of Mr. de la Rionda)
questioned the ethics of an attorney who has been an Assistant State Attorney in the
Fourth Judicial Circuit since 1983. He has been a member of the Homicide Unit since
1986 and has previously been a director of the Homicide Division, Circuit Court, and
Repeat Offender Court. Mr. de la Rionda won the State Attorney's Office First Annual
Distinguished Service Award in 1991 and the Annual Jury Trial Award in 1993. Mr. de la
Rionda has tried over 250 jury trials, including 68 murder cases. He has received
numerous awards and recognition for this selfless work for over thirty years. His record
as an honorable and respected attorney is unblemished and beyond reproach.
Certainly makes one suspect there is not a lot of good faith or integrity behind it. Looks like the Zimmerman case is, maybe, flushing out the chumps. Hopefully.
I’m not sure if Florida has Whistle-blower laws, But after reading the letter I can say they are doing everything to destroy his reputation and any possible way of earning a living in the future.
I agree that this man has a very good lawsuit possibility. The problem is finding the right venue. If I were him I would go to Norm Wolfinger’s (sp) office. Since the events being reported directly affected a trial in his district that he declined to prosecute in the first place.
