since what you are asking bout are all things that couldn’t be proven or disproven, the doubt goes to the defendant. that was clearly described.
Zimmerman jury has question about manslaughter charge
SANFORD, Fla. — After deliberating all day on Saturday jurors in the George Zimmerman murder trial asked for clarification on the instructions regarding manslaughter.
At about 6 p.m. ET lawyers for both sides appeared in court where Judge Debra Nelson conferred with them about the manslaughter question and then recessed court.

I saw an explanation (video) today. The spokesman for the TV station said an intern at the NTSB confirmed the names were correct. :)

We have been hearing all morning how women would be too dumb to agree on this one. But now it looks like you, a male [??] don’t know the law well enough that you would turn this case on its ear.
This just goes to show, if you have men on the jury, they screw it up!!!
IANAL, but as I understand the law, a hung jury results in a mistrial with no verdict given on any of the charges.
Florida Criminal Code would dictate whether or not the State can file new charges and which charges are allowed under the law.
I would assume they could refile on 2nd degree murder and the lesser included charge of manslaughter.
Of course he testified. He gave a half dozen statements to the police. They are all in evidence.
Everything you say can be used against you and likewise everything you say can be used in your favor.

There was plenty of evidence to support GZ’s account of events. He “testified” in his statements to LE. Who had grass stains on their back? Who had injuries to the head from being beaten? Yes there was plenty of crap but from the prosecution. If you followed the trial, and considered the evidence and the law, and used critical thinking skills and logic, you would agree with the rest of us.

I think so too — I think there is a lone juror who is holding onto manslaughter by the thread of a ludicrous claim that she is now having difficulty putting into the form of a question.
There’s only one not guilty box on the form, it covers both.
