Did you read the comments? Some of them wouldn’t survive on FR for one minute.

No, but just did... Wow! You're seeing exactly what this administration and his backers are wanting to happen - to divide us along ethnic, class, and religious lines. They're trying to destroy everything that made America great.

My heart goes out to both the Zimmerman and Martin families. It was a tragedy - a national tragedy. One that could have been avoided if we only followed what God commanded of us, and our Constitution.

Both TM and GZ are victims of "social injustice" - manmade. Trayvon is a victim of the victim mentality and GZ a victim of that culture as it expands. This tragedy is only one of many with a similar cause that occur daily across our nation.

I took a drive around my city of about 55% black and 45% white. For its size, the third or fourth most violent city in America. Mostly this is due to black on black crime and directly related to this culture that has developed with government assistance. I saw some "Trayvon types" with their hat sideways trying to put gas into their car next to two couples riding together, obviously on an evening out - one couple white the other black. I saw a couple black guys all sweaty and pants hanging, buying beer, just getting off work it seemed. Then the sweetest older white lady came by and talked to my little dog who was watching everything out my truck window while I was eating a snack.

I was struck by how life really does go on and convinced that left to ourselves and following the laws God laid for us, without so much government, mega corporation, or theocratic interference, the people of the world could better work things out for themselves, as our true inclination is to be good to each other for the most part.

I believe we somehow must get back across the lines we cross when we take fruits from one and give to another, take the lives of the inconvenient, or grow governments beyond their intended purpose. We have put our lives and futures into the hands a few through lazy indifference and a fault in the number of citizen representatives needed in today's world. So we've made a mess of things and reaping what we've sown.

How to fix it? I'm not sure it's possible for us to fix it without God's intervention. But we can try. I suggest a start is to simply be kind to another person - especially someone different from ourselves. Remember to practice what we preach, to hold all innocent until proven guilty, and hardest of all - to forgive those who trespass against us.

Blessed are the peace-makers, for they shall be called sons of God! And daughters to I might add... :)
