Much as many people might like the jury to have come back after 5 minutes of deliberation with a unanimous "What the [bleep] was the prosecution thinking--no way this guy's guilty of anything", it's entirely possible that all of the jurors know the guy is innocent but can sense that it would be better to create the appearance of having deliberated to reach that determination.
