Hopefully it’s to confirm that if they find that GZ acted in self-defense that it supercedes both murder-2 and manslaughter.

I remember one of the jurys I was on did this. We had a holdout that refused to vote until a single point was clarified. We asked the question, got a fuzzy answer, and the needed excuse was there for the juror to vote with the rest of us. They had done their “due diligence”. ;-)
