I think the pros have been begging the jury, I think they are pissed at the jury, no other reason for their aggressiveness.
And I guess he wanted to shoot him at the last possible moment before he was knocked unconscious! And he wanted to shoot him minutes before the police that he called would show up! And he wanted to shoot him in front of a neighbors townhouse, rather than shooting him where no one else might see it.
Makes sense to me!
