Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

Imagine, just allow yourself to imagine ... You are in your vehicle on your way to the store one evening and you see a tall, slightly hunched over figure wobbling along the space between condominium buildings of your community in the dimness of the poorly lit sidewalk. The figure pauses in the misty rain to peer from under the sweatshirt hoodie he's wearing, to look into the back sliding doors of selected condos. It is dark and the figure is wearing dark clothing with the hood pulled full over his head, concealing his face for the most part. He is not easily seen from inside a lighted home since he is pausing between the lamposts when he stares into the homes shrouded in darkness behind the reflecting glass.You think this might just be related to the several burglaries which have happened in the community. You recall one young mother with two toddlers whose sliding door was broken into during one episode. The young mother tried to seal herself in an upstairs bedroom, only to have the intruders –two black males wearing hoodies-- try to open the locked bedroom door. The sirens approaching is all that sent them from the break-in. You decide to pause and watch the behavior of this hoodie wearing person for a few moments. He appears to be carrying something, perhaps burglary tools?
As the figure wobbles off into the darkness, you are on the phone to the police, to report a suspicious person. The police on the other end ask you where the perp is and where you are and where the perp seems to be going. You exit your vehicle to try and give the police a clear address and dirtections. With the police on the cell phone line, you walk along the sidewalk behind the disappearing hoodied figure. You inform the police that the figure is getting away and you speed up the pace of your walk, telling the police on the phone that you will try to keep the figure in sight. The police inform you that they don't need you to do that.
Disgruntled that a possible perp is going to get away, you plod back toward your vehicle. While you are talking to the police the hoodied figure suddenly appears and confronts you menacingly, demanding to know if you have a problem with him. The hoodied figure is considerably taller than you, seems to be in his late teens, and posing an angry figure indeed.
You exchange words with the figure, seeking to defuse the situation, waiting for some police presence to appear. The hoodied figure strikes out at you, suddenly, slamming down on your nose hard enough to break your nose and send you to the ground in the wet grass. Your eyes instantly tear up when your nose is smashed. You cannot get a clear view of the menacing firgure above you. The attacker is immediately upon you slamming blows down upon your face and arms as you roll around trying to get the straddling, larger than you, attacking black male off.
A nearby resident hollers at you both, informing you that they are going to call the police. You continue screaming for help, screaming into the darkness beside the concrete sidewalk where the mounting attacker is trying to slam you head into the edge of the walkway concrete. He succeeds in glancing your head off of the concrete a couple of times and you realize that if you do not act immediately, this attacker could knock your brains out, leaving your family to bury you.
Your instinct for survival drives your hand deep into your pocket, to grasp the little Kel Tec .380 you have a license to carry concealed. Instincts are pushing you now. You get the pistol out just far enough that the attacker sees it! He grabs at it and you pull the trigger, firing the pistol upward at the attacker's chest looming over your bloody face. The gun isn't quite far enough free from the clothing from which you've tried to draw it, so the slide does not cycle fully, to pick-up a second round. You would keep firing to save yourself if the gun would cycle! There is suddenly only the ringing in your ears of the round going off. The attacker appears to freeze for a split second above you.
You would fire again, bhe first bullet has struck a vital organ and the attacker rolls off of you and clutches his chest. You realize you have been screaming all the time you were rolling around and finally firing the gun to get the attacker off of you. You fall silent until a resident rushes to the scene, a resident who recognizes you. The attacker has rolled onto his back and his arms have spread out from his chest. He is unconscious. You try to check him, to see if you can actually help this attacker who only a moment before was trying to kill you!
The police finally arrive. Residents with back doors toward the walkway are coming out of their homes, to assess the commotion. One asks if you're all right and if they can get you wife on the phone. You tell them to say you've shot someone. Things rush on, but you are in a daze, exhausted and yet trying to be helpful to the questioning police. The medics arrive and begin cleaning up your wounds. Someone behind you says the attacker is dead. Your heart sinks. You feel faint, drained of emotion suddenly, with the realization that you've had to kill someone in order to save your own life. But the attacker seemed young; strong, determiend, very angry, mean even, but young!
The Police Chief in your town reviews the evidence and concludes that you have done nothing for which prosecution is warranted, so he allows you to go free, back to your community and your family. ... But after wekks have passed, there are forces with racial agendas and political opportunists who decide this is too good to let this incident go to waste!
You become the focus of a national spectacle as the government you voted for now wants to use you as a tool to attack gun rights, to attack your state's Stand-Your-Ground laws. The same government you voted to help get elected is now working to destroy you and your family, in their political agenda quest. You are arrested, jailed, and your life turned upside down, as the full weight of an agenda driven government attacks you with full complicity of a crazed regime sycophant cadre of media. The Police Chief who released you is subsequently fired and a more racially satisfactory person appointed in his place.
This new Policeman will do as the regime runnning the United States Justice Department directs him to do. Gradually, it become apparent that the regime wants to fabricate a crisis, a crisis that they will not let go to waste now that they have a mix racial incident in a swing state –a state that the regime seeks to swing into the “D” column.
To build the tension, the un Justice Department directs local operatives to pursue an outlandish charge of Murder in the Second Degree and this same regime even sends funds to organize the racially oriented demonstrations, to put enough pressure on the local government that they do as they are told. The federal regime fully intends to exploit black people and feed to them lies upon lies about what happened that night when you stopped to see if a wobbly figure staring into back windows in your community was perhaps one of the perps who had been breaking into condos for the past several weeks.
Can you, dear reader, imagine the weight of such evil aligned against you?
George Zimmerman doesn't have to imagine it. The Federal regime is doing exactly that, in best tyrannical mode they can wring from the disgusting accomplices in Mister Zimmerman's town.
“Imagine getting jumped, your nose is broken, your head is getting bashed into the pavement, you scream for help and no help comes, you feel you may pass out, the guy reaches for your gun and so you shoot him. Then the President of the U.S. appears on tv and says if he had a son it would look just like the guy who attacked you.”

Every attorney, no exceptions, I’ve listened to today have said that if there is a hung jury, there will be another trial with the same charges against Zimmerman. When was double jeopardy done away with?
A no verdict rendered does not preclude another trial on the same charges. If George is acquitted, THEN if the state tries to do it all over, well that would trigger the double jeopardy concept.
It wasn't. A hung jury means the District Attorney can file for another trial, and I think under the Florida Attorney General who has sat in court through the proceedings, she will insist the local DA file new charges.
A hung jury is not good for Zimmerman. Yet, better than a guilty verdict.
Zimmerman WILL be guilty of something. Probably for being white. Rest assured that o has ordered this judge to “take care of business for him.” Just watch & see...

He chose to get involved - to help people. A God fearing man who has been put through fire to sharpen the blade for a witness to share with the world. What a calling ! As he said in the Hsnnity interview—Gods will.
Do you realize how much good he will be able to achieve with the blood of T on his hands? He was already reaching out and helping a few. And I’ll bet his prayers were to help many more. Now he’ll be able to just that.

I remember when this first happened and some of us were defending Zimmerman while a LOT of the Freeper GUYS were calling him a racist punk.
On THIS thread, three quarters of the posters who would vote to aquit GZ are women, and yet there is thread after thread and comment after comment about how women can’t be trusted to reach a verdict of aquittal.
I pray these women have even half the sense of the ladies of Free Republic and do the right thing.
If what Malik says is factual then there will be no post verdict demonstrations or riots except perhaps up at Disneyworld if some privileged NAACP family doesn’t get to sit together on the Spinning Teacups.
I'm afraid that we are going to find out these ladies are much different than the FR ladies. I believe the jury pool and these six were vetted by the Justice Department after the screening of their emails, Internet traffic, etc. I believe this has been a dog and pony show and George will do time. I was convinced of this when Sharpton and company started calling for restraint. That was a diversion. They know the fix is in.
All it takes is one juror with a conscience for at least a hung jury.
It is 3:30 am in California. I can’t sleep either.
So worried for George and his family. I am also worried for all of us and what a guilty verdict means. (If that is what happens.)

You’re so right. George Zimmerman was following the law when he used self-defense to protect himself. A guilty verdict would say to everyone, you can’t protect yourself no matter what the law says. So wrong!

The morning cannot get here fast enough. I am praying for an early verdict of not guilty and an end to this insanity.
