Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Yesterday the prosecution provide closing arguments (Summary: http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/07/states-closing-argument-two-hours-of-raising-doubt).
Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

Talking heads (including attorneys) on tv today kept saying if it’s a hung jury, there will be another trial charging Zimmerman with murdering Martin. So much for double jeopardy.
there are only 6 women -- they only have to agree on it half of the time.
I’m hoping along with you. Wonder if he’s aware of the huge support he has. He certainly won’t get it from TV and he’s not been out and about. Maybe when things settle down someone will start a Z club or something so it can help him heal in some sort of way.

I want one of those Judges! It DOES seem like the perfect snake gun. Well except you can’t carry it around in your pocket while working in the yard. Isn’t it too big? We ‘re seeing more snakes than usual this year, for some reason, including a coral snake that got away. I don’t step out into the yard now unless I’m packin!
Yeah, I think we’ll work it out but it will take time. Too many good people on either side of the color line for it to stay bad forever. And when we turn the corner, it will be in spite of the left, not because of them. They are not helping.

Dr. appt. went well, but still no answers. Another specialist on the way. Hubby is dealing with chronic pain, an effect of a stroke he had in ‘08. It’s getting progressively worse, and we don’t know why.
I’m beat. Time to hit the pillows. Have a blessed night.
Now that makes sense since I hadn't watched the trial before that comment.
One thing that really irks me about trials is that a jurors are denied information
Anyone that's been on a trial will agree with you there. One thing, also, the jurist has to live with their decision and if they find out some pertinent info afterwards, it will affect them. More so, a murder trial.

Imagine you’re on your way home from the store in the rain. You stop for a few moments to take shelter from the storm when you notice a strange man watching you, he doesn’t say anything he just watches you.
Imagine you’re watching him in return, anxiety begins to build, his stare is making you uncomfortable, you’re not afraid to defend yourself but something about this situation feels strange. You start to walk away, you don’t care about the rain anymore, you just want to get home.
Imagine that as you’re walking, you turn to look behind u, only to discover that your watcher, has just become your pursuer. You’re not sure what to do, your heart starts to beat so fast and hard that you can actually hear it. Finally you decide to run, realizing that the situation is very serious. You run as fast as you can, cutting corners to try and elude your predator, and just for a few seconds, you think you’re successful.
Imagine the feeling of relief. You’ve made it now, you lost him, and you start to feel safe again. You try to calm down and catch your breath, your heart is racing, but just as the calm
starts to set in, your pursuer reappears behind you, only this time he’s too close for you to get away.
Imagine you’re cornered now, you ask the stranger to identify his purpose. “Why are you following me” you ask, but your inquiry falls on deaf ears; he asks you what you’re doing around there, you think to yourself “why did he answer my question, with a question?”, you realize now that something is terribly wrong.
Imagine you’re consumed with fear and uncertainty. Out of desperation, you make a last attempt to get away, your pursuer then becomes your attacker. He grabs you to negate your effort to retreat, you struggle to break free, but your attacker has an edge, he’s strong and he’s trained to use martial arts techniques to take his opponents to the ground.
He forces you to the ground, but you don’t give up, you try desperately to fight but nothing’s working. During the struggle you notice that your attacker is armed with a gun, fear quickly takes over, you call out for help, but no one’s coming. Your attacker pulls the gun and points it at you, you let out one last cry for help, the sight of the gun being pointed at you takes all of the bass and steadiness out of your voice, your cry for help is just that, a cry... Your attacker fires, darkness falls over your open eyes, you try to hold on, but you feel the life leaving your body. You’re cold, wet, and in unimaginable pain; “this is it”, you say to yourself, you struggle to take your last breath and close your eyes...
