Still can’t understand why Palin did not finish her term. Unfortunately it hurt her politically in Alaska. Very unfortunate since she is on the right side of virtually every issue and would be a tigress in the Senate. 2014 should be a good year for Republicans and may be her best chance to get elected.

she was spending almost her entire day fending off bs lawsuits from nutjobs. something like 24 different suits. she left office so the people weren’t paying for something they weren’t getting

financially it would have been better to stay in office... and no one would have said anything if she spent her day dealing with lawsuits.

which speaks volumes for her personal integrity

Because the Democrats were using the system to spend Alaskan taxpayer money to keep Palin under constant mortar fire to prevent her from doing her job, and to punish her for daring to be the UnPelosi.

How effective would you be at your job if someone who didn't like you got to use your company's funds to disrupt your workday and the company's operations?

The reasons are well known. It is way beyond a pity that she was forced by a pack of DNC directed and funded bastards to choose between bankrupting her family and remaining governor but I for one find it hard to say I'd not have done the same thing in that position.

Remember the 2010 midterm election landslide? That's why. Palin didn't "quit" anything. She changed the battleground from being trapped in a governor's house to the freedom to cover the entire country. Be glad she did what she did. It was brilliant.

Why? Because of $600,000 in personal legal bills that were going to get bigger.

Let me try to flesh it out more for you. Under Alaska law, a private citizen is allowed to make an ethics complaint against a public official. The public official then must use their own money to hire lawyers/investigators to defend themselves against the ethics charges. Once Palin became prominent, the bastard Democrats began filing frivolous ethics charges against, causing Palin to (a) incur a ton of legal fees and (b) have to spend a lot of time gathering documents and otherwise defending herself.

It's really quite a shame. If McCain hadn't selected her as his V.P. candidate, Palin could have worked away under the radar and no doubt built up an impressive record. After winning re-election in 2010, she could have started to lay a foundation for a campaign, and - key here - spent the proper amount of time necessary to become knowledgeable on federal/national issues. Under this scenario, she would/could have been our Reagan in 2012 and swept Obama out of office. Very sad.

There are two possibilities:

(1) You can't or won't read, or you can't understand the arithmetic involved, or,
(2) You are being dishonest.

Stupid or evil; one or the other.
