I think women read these fairytales with happily ever after endings. They’re inculcated with the prince charming view that somehow marriage is an end in itself and they will be blissfully happy. But it’s all work. They didn’t sign up for work. They wanted happily ever after. So, they go looking for it. It will take years before they realize they had it and blew it.

That’s true. I’ve known men and women that didn’t know what they had till it was gone.
