Hey folks, go read the 11th amendment in your pocket constitution and tell me how some Canadian wench’s feelings can legally land a Texas citizen in jail.
Maybe you’ll also wonder how a Texas rancher could be criminally charged or civilly sued for trying to keep border jumpers from trespassing on his property after reading it.

There still is a 1st amendment isnt there? Actually, no there's not. The Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and pretty much the rest of the rule of law disappeared in 2009.

In other news:
Federal investigators have found no evidence that the disgraced Wall Street titan broke the law.
After 18 months of investigation, the criminal probe into Jon Corzine is now being dropped,

I never thought such things would happen in TX. This is after the 12 yr old boy was raped and tortured, then shunned by the community. Looks like we have lost texas.

So your son is learning that actions have consequences. That can be a hard lesson.

I never thought such things would happen in TX. This is after the 12 yr old boy was raped and tortured, then shunned by the community. Looks like we have lost texas. This is the natural result of the unthinking fetish many on the right have with the "tough on crime zero tolerance" mentality.
When demographics finally shifts Texas firmly into the left column, the liberals will use all the crime fighting tools to turn that state into a special ring of hell.
I can picture it right now, some future Obama-like governor smirking on TV about "Not messing with Texas" as his political enemies are sent to prison.

Liberal, meet reality. There are no unicorns. A stiff right punch to the face will convince of the fact you are not a superhero just because you play online games as one.

stupid comments online are a crime?

I'm currently on bail facing felony "stalking" charges in TX for sending a few joke emails to a former employer who fired me under questionable circumstances. There were no threats, or words even in the email or I would be in a worse position. It was a few tasteless pictures (non pornographic or violent, but crude). Well, please know that your tribulations have educated me, at least. I shall modify my online behavior accordingly.
Texas is police state.
Nossir. AMERICA is a Police State.

And all over Facebook and Twitter the Moron Class is promising to riot and kill people if George Zimmerman is acquitted. Why isnt the Gestapo going after them? You know darn well why. We white people are now an Oppressed Majority.

It's really not America any more. As Mark Levin says, we're now living in "post-Constitutional America." I call it the USSA.

There are a couple police state fools on this thread. I wonder how they would feel if some of their political beliefs would be a crime to post online?

Only certain people have freedom of speech and can say or post anything they want without consequences...
Shame on everyone thinking it's ok that this guy is in jail.

How ridiculous. Apparently some in Texas do not know the meaning of sarcasm. The kid needs to find a new town to live in where they read books now and again.

I’ll never understand the FReepers who seem to think things like this are okay. It will eventually become more and more encompassing of “hate” speech.
Saying you’re against gay marriage...crime
Pro Second Amendment...crime
Etc...
