Analysis: George Zimmerman Probably Won't Be Convicted of Murder or Manslaughter -- Here's Why
ABC ^ | 7/7/13

...Now that the prosecution's case against Zimmerman is in, as a legal matter, I just don't see how a jury convicts him of second degree murder or even manslaughter in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

So what happened? How can an armed man who shot and killed an unarmed teen after being told by the police that he didn't need to keep following him, likely be found not guilty of those crimes?

I certainly sympathize with the anger and frustration of the Martin family and doubt that a jury will accept the entirety of George Zimmerman's account as credible. But based on the legal standard and evidence presented by prosecutors it is difficult to see how jurors find proof beyond a reasonable doubt that it wasn't self defense.

Prosecutors are at a distinct legal disadvantage.

The real question should be, why didn’t Thugvon go back to the house he was staying at and avoiding a confrontation with Zimmerman? If he did that, he’d be alive today. Zimmerman did not prevent him from doing that. Only brainwashed racists can look at the evidence so far and conclude that Zimmerman was at fault for the outcome of this unfortunate situation. The Sanford police were correct in determining that this was a textbook case of self-defense. Only when the outside “racial arsonists” arrived in town on their “black” horses, did the case become a racial incident. This was a total waste of taxpayer money in pursuing this case due to the pressure from racial instigators who wanted to push their racial victimology. Does this rush to judgment to “lynch” George Zimmerman remind you of the Duke lacrosse case? Shame on the state and the prosecutors for spinning the facts in trying to make this a racial incident. Thanks to them, the real victim in this case was not Thugvon, but George Zimmerman who’s life is now in shambles.

Funniest comment from abcnews website link:

Wrabble-—”I know exactly what happened that night because I have been paying attention to the liberal media!

9-year old Trayvon Martin was on his way home from choir practice and delivering hot meals to the elderly.

He stopped to hold umbrellas for a Girl Scout Troop which was raising money for quadriplegic AIDS victims in Africa. After he helped the Girl Scouts, he then delivered 10 Golden Retriever puppies which were breach birth.

That’s when George Zimmerman pulled up in his Hummer, on his way home from a White Hispanic KKK meeting. High on meth and shouting racist slogans and frustrated by having stalked TM for three years, GZ saw TM and opened up with his twin roof-mounted 50 caliber machine guns.

TM saved all the Girl Scouts and then went back to save the Golden Retriever puppies.”

They are right. There is no reason for Zimmerman to be convicted. They knew very well that he didn’t commit 2nd degree murder but they went with it anyway. They also knew that there was no evidence that Zimmerman initiated the altercation that resulted in shooting of Trayvon. Zimmerman’s story had the hallmarks of truth as testified by the officer that interviewed him. They tried to trick him by saying that they had a video of the event and he(Zimmerman) was relieved. I’m sorry the parents lost their son Trayvon but they could do a lot to prevent these kind of things from happening if they accepted the role their son played in his own death.

Trayvon chose instead of running home to turn around and confront Zimmerman who appears to have been returning to his vehicle. Why would anyone in their right mind do that? If it had stopped with a conversation then Trayvon would still be alive but it didn’t Trayvon then attacked Zimmerman. The prosecution really didn’t challenge that. The one witness who saw the part of the event where someone was screaming testified it was Zimmerman on the bottom and that Zimmerman was screaming. Trayvon’s Dad who the prosecution did not call said the screams were not from his son.

I feel for Trayvon’s parents but they could save a lot of heartache and anger if they put a end to this madness and call for peace at the end of this trial. I can only imagine their grief if I lost one of my son’s I’d be devastated but it doesn’t serve their son’s memory nor does it achieve justice to have this kind of sham trial continue in his name. They were manipulated as were many by a zealous media that wanted to pick over the bones of Trayvon and fan racial animus. If they should be angry about anything now it should be that the memory of their son has been turned into such a media spectacle.

Don’t put it past the prosecution telling the 6 female jurors: either you convict for murder or you and your families will suffer consequences.

Get a grip.

From the Madison Times last year:

Tracy Martin was unaware that his honor roll son, who was visiting from Miami, had been killed around 7 p.m. that Sunday.......

Martin told publishers how he learned that his son had been killed.

“I had been out to dinner. When we got back between 10:15 and 10:45, he wasn’t at home...." Tracy Martin and his girlfriend went to bed.

But the next morning: “I had [his girlfriend] call juvenile justice, just to check and see if anyone by the name of Trayvon Martin had been picked up. No Trayvon Martin,”.....

My next call was to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department to see if any kid had been picked up.

“My third call was to a non-emergency number at the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department...

How many fathers would call juvenile hall and then the adult detention facility to locate an honor roll son.

Spot on!

I have a working theory...

After seeing the Prosecution playing the Hannity interview, the cop interview, all that actually worked for the Defense, I think I have this figured out.

Remember this indictment was political from the outset.

The Cops said it was clearly self defense.

But that hostile med examiners boss ( district attorney?) pressed an arrest.

The prosecution has known all along that the original inditement was bogus and they would never convict. Imagine being the prosecutor and having to convict a know innocent man. But he is following orders.

So the goal all along is to appease a certain segment of our culture with a trial and at the same time publicize and show how very clearly innocent Zimmerman is, even to the simple minded, all to avoid an excuse for riots and looting.

This would explain the no Blacks on the Jury thing.

Frankly that blew my mind. Clearly to all this whole thing is Racially Politalally charged.

Why would they ever agree to that?

just a theory

Crayon was raised by his father step-mother.

Her name is Alicia and the Prosecution/Media doesn't want her involved.

It is a fact that Martin was an unarmend, innocent (so called) teenager walking home from 7-11. Other facts include he attacked Zimmerman violently and Zimmerman, fearing for his life, retaliated with deadly force. The point is, that one set of facts is not mutually exclusive from the other......although Al Sharptn and his friends in the raace baiting crew would have us all believe otherwise...

This article makes one huge point: Nothing Zimmermna has told the police (with the exception of some minor discrepencies) is in conflict with the evidence....nothing.

I believe Ziimerman made some mistakes, got in way over his head very quickly, and was forced by Trayvon Martin into protecting himself with deadly force. It was all very sad and avoidable...but, as the saying goes, “If we had ham, we could have ham and eggs if we had eggs.”

Kick Zimmerman loose, show Trayvon Martins parents a little respect for their loss, and lets all move on....

ABC News setting the nation up for riots..

ABC and the rest of the corrupt networks know the black vote is what keeps white liberal elites in office. They also know the black unemployment rate is sky high and has been since the first year of Obama's Presidency.

Network news boys understand the best way to keep the black vote going strong is to poke blacks with a stick... gin up their hatred - tell them how 'whitie' is killing their kids... It fans the hate high among blacks and keeps black turnout sky high - high enough to keep liberal white elites in power.

Keeping white liberal elites in power is why this game of race hatred is being played out. It's why NBC tried to doctor tapes. It's why this story became big in the first place.

Blacks and Hispanics kill each other all the time - what made this different for ABC, CBS, and NBC was they thought they could pull off the lie about Zimmerman being white - and probably a Tea Party member or in the NRA...

The press - the MSM - knows who they hate - they hate middle class conservative Americans... Ginning up the black vote in the process of expressing their hatred for conservatives was icing on the cake.

Yup. In a sane world, the defense could rest as soon as court convened monday and Z would walk. Even in this world I think that could happen.

There is not just little case against Z. There is no case whatsoever.
