Never saw a taildragger heavy jet. I know high wing transports can skid the butt, but you've gotta have a very high nose up attitude / (stall) in a landing configuration to skid a tail section. I have seen tail scrapes on takeoffs, but not landings.

Interesting. Maybe that's what's accounting for the described wing drop. A stall.

Until I worked for Boeing and met a bunch of the test pilots, never knew about the tail-drag process.
