Big mistake.
Hopefully he`ll only be a figurehead with the military in total control.

This is the guy Obama supported in the first place. Former boardmember on the international crisis group with the likes of George Soros, Kofi Annan, Wes Clark, Sandy Berger, Thomas Pickering etc etc etc...

Wasn’t he also the UN guy who couldn’t make up his mind if Hussein (The other one) had WMDs or not before the war in Iraq? I think so.

Mohamed ElBaradei Someone help me out here. I know these muzzies all have like 48 different names that they go by, but isn't this the same Mohamed ElBaradei that was a U.N. Nuclear Inspector that claimed Iran wasn't developing nuclear weapons - when in fact they were/are?
Same guy??

There is no hope in the military having control, especially with radical generals like
Sisi in charge (appointed by Morsi). Since the military let the Brotherhood take power in the first place, there was never any hope in them to begin with.
In an interview with the Daily Star, Steve Gerras, a retired US colonel who was Sisis professor in 2006 (at the US Army War College in Pennsylvania), noted that, For many Americans at the time, Islam didnt have a great reputation. For him [Sisi], it was important that we knew about the good things in his religion.
For his part, (Egyptian military expert Robert) Springborg noted that Sisis academic papers at the US Army War College were almost like Islamist tracts.

Obama backing ElBaradei?
Beirut According to well-connected Washington sources, including a Congressional staffer whose job description includes following political events in Egypt, once it became evident that Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi might well be ousted by Egypts Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), it did not take Mohamed Mustafa ElBaradei, the Sharia legal scholar, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, and for 12 years (1997-2009) the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) very long to contact the Washington, DC law firm of Patton Boggs. That was this past Tuesday.

ElBaradei is another Arab who has blamed the root of all Middle East violence on Israel, on its “occupation”.
He is a minimal secularist; however he could not himself lead a major secular group in the elections; not enough support.
He may only be the temporary PM and that would be a good thing.
Why was he chosen?
For his credibility in western political circles, from whom Egypt is still in need of loans and support.
