Egypt’s interim presidential administration has recommended Mohamed ElBaradei, a former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency and a leader of the opposition National Salvation Front, as the country’s interim vice president, Xinhua reported July 7 citing a presidential spokesman. On July 6, ElBaradei was rumored to be put forward as interim prime minister, which was rejected by the hard-line Islamist Al Nour party.
