Pro and Anti-Morsi Demonstrations in Cairo
Tens of thousands of Egyptians flocked to Tahrir Square in Cairo, Sunday evening, to support the ouster of Mohammed Morsi as president and the removal of the Muslim Brotherhood from power. The Egyptian Air Force patrolled the skies overhead and ground forces increased the alert around the United States embassy.
In another part of the capital, Muslim Brotherhood supporters gathered to protest the ouster and the transfer of government to decidedly secular entities.
