The Obama administrations call for an inclusive political process in Egypt with a role for the Muslim Brotherhood has been overshadowed by conflict between security forces and supporters of the Islamist group.
Secretary of State John Kerry said in a separate statement yesterday that we firmly reject the unfounded and false claims by some in Egypt that the United States supports the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood or any specific Egyptian political party or movement.

Pro and Anti-Morsi Demonstrations in Cairo
Tens of thousands of Egyptians flocked to Tahrir Square in Cairo, Sunday evening, to support the ouster of Mohammed Morsi as president and the removal of the Muslim Brotherhood from power. The Egyptian Air Force patrolled the skies overhead and ground forces increased the alert around the United States embassy.
In another part of the capital, Muslim Brotherhood supporters gathered to protest the ouster and the transfer of government to decidedly secular entities. Kol Yisrael government radio reported that efforts failed at mediation intended to give the Brotherhood some role in the interim government. ***Egyptian military boss Abdul Fatah As-Sisi refused to talk to them and declined an offer by American Ambassador Anne Patterson to open negotiations, asking the U.S. not to get involved in Egypt’s internal affairs.***

<...”people there post a lot of twitter; the good and the bad”....>
Well, someone else can post the terrible stuff I’ve seen...I won’t put it here...a few photos says enough IMO.
To me this is about the continuation of Egypts fight for a Democratic country opposed to Islamic Shariah Rule....how she goes will affect the entire Middle East...as well as Europe and surrounding nations.
Hopefully Melancoly’s threads will tell the story since she is the Egyptian ping person...and staying on top of these developments. Tune in..there’s more coming as you know.
I see you asked to be pinged ...good for you!
OHHH! HE WAS CAUGHT!!!!....Wonderful!!!!

ROTFLOL....Ya think they’re getting the message? LOLOLOL
I hate McBain...nothing he does surprises me Maggief...he’s such a traitor to the American people IMO....he should have left office long ago...he’s there for the ride and that’s it! Continues to carry far more weight than he should.
What the heck is SHE sticking her nose in?....must be she isn't getting the message Kerry finally got from the Egyptians..that he now denies the US is NOT supporting terrorists.....now how is he going to possibly convince them otherwise...it is entrenched among Egyptians now that the administration is doing just that?
Must be She's not seeing the posters of her paraded down the streets of EGYPT....she is no longer welcomed there.
I have to paraphrase this because it’s rooters, but mccain said straight out that he knows cutting off aid to the Egyptian military will cause problems and probably chaos for them, as well as making it much rougher on Israel, but DO IT ANYWAY!
