Homicide is one person taking the life of another, even if it is intentional

That's right. Now you're back on beam. The fact that Zimmerman intentionally homicided the kid does not necessarily mean that he should be given life in prison

We can agree that outcome of GZ’s intentional action (shooting his gun) had three possible outcomes. One is a complete miss (bad aim or a warning shot). Two is a non-fatal injury. Three is a fatal injury (homicide).

I think we can rule out the first possibility.

I’m saying that we don’t know with certainty whether GZ’s intention was option two or three.

GZ needed to buy time until the cops arrived. Causing a non-fatal injury could have done that for him.
