AS IF someone that's being beaten to a pulp and smothered, wouldn't be capable of acting out of reflex or respond out of a feeling of self-preservation? Bullshit. Most folks wouldn't have to give it a second's thought under those circumstances. It has NOTHING to do with ill will or spite.
