No, I agree there. I was wondering about the self defense teaching.... I did not know that they specifically taught to shoot with purpose of hitting the heart and killing.
I’ve never heard that, I don’t think.

You are taught to aim for “ center of mass”.
That gives you best chance. Of hitting ANYTHING when you shot.
