Yes, Zimmerman was carrying a gun. Yes, he told the dispatcher that he was following Martin. Yes, it was dark. And, yes, Zimmerman has experienced and is still experiencing serious problems.
I don't think those facts are in controversy. The dispute (if there is one) concerns what happened after the two actually made contact. The jury will probably acquit because of what happened after they made contact, not because of doubts about whether Zimmerman had a gun, or doubts about whether Zimmerman followed Martin or doubts about whether it was dark.
You forgot to add that yes, it was raining, too. What kind of person straps on a gun to go out in the rain to hunt down someone?
Answer: Not Zimmerman.
