Do you honestly believe that the world's most powerful man calling for the leader of a nation to step down and the world's most powerful man also signs the multi-billion dollar checks each year that keeps said nation afloat that there is no evidence that the world's most powerful man had anything to do with events?

I gather you mean he was the Counselor for Political Affairs, i.e., the head of the political section. When did you serve in Cairo? Were you an FSO?
Back then, his position was called first secretary for political affairs. I worked with the FS, but not a FSO myself. I was there in 88.
Good point. I mean, if a girlfriend or Hanoi Jane never financed Islam or communism, does that make their fornication any less significant?
I cannot stand these people dismissing the capabilities of Chinese or Russians etc... It is the intent that matters.
