Law says the U.S. is required to cut aid after coups. Will it in Egypt?

Outside observers might not have much trouble calling the events in Egypt on Wednesday a military coup. When a khaki-clad, beret-wearing general commandeers state TV to announce that the constitution is suspended and the president no longer president, “coup” seems like a pretty safe word.

It wasn’t a coup. It was the righteous return of the country to the people.

If Ft Hood was “workplace violence”, and terrorist attacks in Afghanistan/IRAQ are “overseas contingency ops”, then getting rid of Morsi POS is just a “1-year political correction”; NOT a coup. FUBO!

Laws are meant to restrict Republican presidents by giving the media a club to beat them over the head.

The administration should have made this coup a precondition for the military aid. The Egyptian military has been the only sensible option since the MB managed to “win” the election.

The law says a lot of things: ObamaCare, which will not be enforced by Obama; immigration laws, which will not be enforced by Obama; First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Eigth, Ninth, and Tenth Amendments, which will not be enforced by Obama. I don’t expect any law to be enforced unless it is convenient for Obama. Perhaps that is why the current administration is referred to as “lawless”?
