I strongly suspect the jury can’t either. Because the jury is not black, there will be a low chance that any of them have that “black racist” attitude toward Z. This means that they probably to go into this thinking they are finally going to see why the state thinks Z is guilty here. And as they see no evidence and, in fact see a hostile judge, they see a man being railroaded. The question is, will they find not guilty considering the personal risk of doing so?
