Interesting...wonder if that would be something for the DNA fella' to check on, what with his quadrillions, etc.
Hope I'm wrong too but Zimmerman does look like the designated sacrificial goat.
Loved it! May watch today!
I was referring to HLN channel’s “pause” use whenever there is a recess or sidebar conference with the judge.
On live feed internet, you can at least see the sidebars (huddle with the judge) as they begin and as they end. I just wish I could be a fly on that desk and know what the hell they’re saying...lol.
No, I didn't!!! Who was on Skype? Why did they use Skype; isn't "go to my meeting" (something like that) or even a controlled satellite transmission much better and more secure?
Next time, maybe Dixie Cups and a string....
One of MOMs questions to officer who collected evidence. We haven’t heard the last of it.
Maybe was Z s DNA on TM hands. They didn’t check is shotty police work
She needs fire-arms training...and a nosejob...and a chin implant...and probably some other things.
And of course the EMT wiped all of TM's DNA off GZ's face when they treated him...twice..
Hope so, but Jabba the Hut will probably immediately overrule and sanction defense.
She's all kind of crazy like that!
IIRC ray pulled up his pants in the story after pushing downward to get change out of his pocket. I think Tray had on white sneaks...Probably grass stains on the toes from kneeling. But I don’t think there’s any doubt that Tray was on top.
I suspected I was in over my head and I was right! "Sustained!"
"I just wish I could be a fly on that desk and know what the hell theyre saying...lol."
You and me, too. Can't read their lips in that setting. Wonder if judge's lips can be read.
Lip reading is a lost art!
Ha! Knew it when you said they had to bag the hands at the scene (they never bagged them at all in Sanford). I wonder if any of the birds on the Jury ever saw MITGOGAE?
Want to watch it? Same here. It'd make a pleasant surprise for my baby after we finish watching the Diamondbacks lose a game...she's sleeping in, and I need to go out and put up the flags. Game's in an hour.
(Good to see you finally got caught up! You were hundreds of posts behind when I hit he sack last night!)
Finally got here but had to jump all kinds of chunks of posts to get here.

Maybe some rainy day when I hear the grass, I'll come back to this very instructional thread. I've loved it. FReepers are so smart!
They had one of Zim’s professors testify from Colorado (Pleasants), and they used a Skype feed. Why not a more secure system, indeed? There are thousands of heads wondering about that very thing today. Skype is “free,” and the Cisco products like “go to meeting” cost, so that might be it, but the state has shown they are cheap, cheap, cheap when it comes to software.
Their voice recognition “experts” tried to use free, off-the-web downloaded software to analyze the screams, but were blown out of the water during the Frye hearings. One of the defense experts’ points was that nobody was available to certify the algorithms.
I hope Don West is out having ice cream with his daughter. I hope they take a picture.
Don't be lookin' at me when you say that....I started that fight up there.
I suppose it is possible. To me it sounded like she said she had received no complaint until then, and IANAL but IMHO as the judge she is not likely to make that kind of statement in open court unless it is true.
Do you think she knows they went over her head and that is why shes got an attitude toward them? Should be an interesting week.
I think she probably prides herself on keeping her court running on time and on budget. I read that she has a background in administrative law and commercial civil litigation. I am not familiar enough with the law to understand why the judge did not grant the defense a continuance on May 28. She made a big deal of stating in open court yesterday that both sides committed to being ready for trial. Yet there were issues with evidence on the prosecution side, and the crump deposition had been repeatedly delayed, sometimes apparently by her. I am certain that she is aware of the importance of the crump deposition to the defense. The defense should have been riding herd over crump and complaining to the judge right away if crump was dragging his feet more. It sounds as if the combination of crump's foot-dragging, the ongoing trial, and the judge might have worn them out out and they might have let their guard down.
OTOH it is hard to imagine the defense not jumping on the opportunity to attempt to set up a deposition of crump immediately on learning that the DCA allowed them to. crump appears to be a master at foot-dragging and they might have been riding herd on him but he might have been slippery enough to evade giving them any reason to go to the judge until yesterday. I can't imagine that they would offer crump a sunday evening time slot, so apparently they offered crump some earlier dates and times and crump responded by rejecting them all and proposing the sunday afternoon time. I would think that after all the foot dragging by crump that the judge really should be letting the defense tell the story in open court and putting more pressure on crump. There is no reason imho for the court to continue to be especially deferential to crump-- July 4 is as good a date as Sunday evening, and better for the defense and therefore for justice in general-- and recognition of this might be the reason that emboldened West to continue to push Nelson after she had already given her judgment about it yesterday-- but for some reason Nelson seems inclined to continue to give crump a pass, at least in public. Perhaps during private conference yesterday she changed her mind and ordered crump to be deposed on Thursday. It is difficult to tell from a distance.
It would be interesting to get a trial lawyer perspective on this... I just watch Perry Mason, LA Law, and the Good Wife , lol...
Hey Bastard!
Put your hands up, and slowly pull that hood down.
Now get out of my store.
