Zimmerman said he lost sight of Martin, got out of his car to call police and was walking back to his vehicle when the 17-year-old attacked him.

clearly Bush’s fault
I’ll admit that the talks of violence is overwhelmingly one sided but I have seen a few threats from the right as well, but just a few.
A right wing buddy at work went bat sh!# with the threats this week to the extent that I had to get up and walk away.
But like I said, the crap from the left is far worse, especially from the Black community.
I just don’t understand it either way when we really only have one mans word as to what happened.
Of course, as usual, the media is doing everything it can to stoke the flames. They’re probably more responsible for creating this divide in the first place. If it wasn’t for them, I doubt anyone outside of Zimmerman’s little gated community would even know anything about this case.
As with most of the societal ills in this country, the media is at the very heart of it.
In any case, you made my point for me with your response.
As certain as sunrise.
Go tell it to the self-so-called "Black Community". Go door-to-door in Southeast DC. Or Richmond. Go preach it on Church Street in Norfolk.
But don't preach it to me ... I have heard your blather and drivel for most of my life, and I have had enough. 99.9% of the racial bigotry I see is committed by the "Black Community", and its enablers in Big Media, Big Education and Big Government. You, and they, can piss off.
If there is a hung jury, would Corey or someone else be able to try again with manslaughter as the charge?
No, the evidence supports a fight. Not who started it.
This is all about who initiated the confrontation and completely changes the narrative of self defense if it was Zimmerman who was the first one to get physical.
Can you tell me for certain that Martin threw the first punch?
Also, think about this, if you had some guy following you around in the middle of the night, just that alone would get me riled up.
I tend to think that Martin initiated the physical contact but I don’t know for certain and nor does anyone else.
“I also did not see any way O.J. would be found not guilty”
Two things that most people did not consider in the OJ trial.
1. Elizabeth Loftus, expert in selecting highly suggestible people was hired by the OJ lawyers to help select the jurors. She really knows her stuff, but has used it for the wrong purpose. This is the same evaluation techniques a stage hypnotist utilizes to select their subjects from an audience.
2. A friend of mine is an LA detective. He actually took Mark Furman’s case load when he left, worked with Mark and had the same boss. He mentioned to me that some of the blood collected on the murder scene on a sock had the chemical preservative that is placed in test tubes to preserve blood samples. Thus some of the blood was planted. He told me who he thought did it, but he was not sure. It was someone on the police force. That caused all evidence to be questioned.
“Anyone else [almost] welcome the race riots?
Call their bluff. Im tired of being blackmailed.”
This will lead to many more similar murder trials, but eventually the Darwin Award will prevail.
What blather?
I’m only talking about this specific story.
The fact that I can’t have a civilized discussion even from a moderate perspective with out being told to “piss off” is very telling.
I’m not preaching, just looking at this from an impartial point of view because I have no facts to view it any other way.
Or he should have just spelled it “Jorge”.
Did they play GZ reinactment video for the jury?
Well, I can agree with what you’ve said.
I do not think his story needs help personally, I think its airtight, but if he was by his car that may help him in the eyes of the jury.
I wish I was on this jury. I would carefully consider the evidence, because that would be my duty, but of all the things I’ve seen so far since this happened, I cannot find him guilty of anything.
I just heard on the ABC news break someone said, and I do not know who this was, all this could have been avoided if Zimmerman had stayed in his car...
There is no law or requirement that someone stay in their car for any reason, ever, except perhaps if one is driving one’s car through the automatic car wash.
As far as I can see, all this could have been avoided if Martin’s father had raised his son better, or better yet, if he never had a son.
This has turned into a sports match with the "fans" on both sides trying to prove a point about race based on their own pre-determined conclusions. As you said it was an unfortunate event produced by the meeting of two idiots. Everyone should calm down and let the court render its imperfect verdict as well as it can.
You are 100% correct.
Explain why you think George Zimmerman is an "idiot".
Seals who assisted in the pilot production volunteered to come up from San Diego where the pilot was filmed and testify on behalf of the prosecution. The L.A. prosecutor's office declined and said "it was unnecessary." Either they were completely sure that they had an air tight case, or they knew the not guilty verdict months before.

I think we all agree that no one saw who threw the first punch, but the point is Carbonsteel, all the defense has to do is present enough evidence to produce a strong reasonable doubt that Zimmerman murdered Trayvon.
It’s true that we cannot say for certain that Martin threw the first punch, but from what has been presented in court, can we say that the prosecution has PROVEN beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman did murder Trayvon? Has the prosecution proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman DID start the fight?
I don’t think so - at least in a logical world. But, of course, we aren’t living in a logical world anymore.
There was a video of the recreation of GZ with the police officers that is a good walk-through.. and you can physically see where the vehicle was and how far (trying to re-image it in my head, I would say less than 50 feet..)..
Why do so many people think that Zimmerman is a Jewish name, or think that other people think that? It means “carpenter” in German, not a traditional Jewish occupation.
And honestly, I think if Zimmerman were Jewish, he might be seen as belonging to a victim class and not be facing this prosecution.
