Actually, jacquej posted the wrong YouTube link from the blog in question—she posted the third one, and the girl’s voice actually DOES sound more like Rachel Jeantel.
It is the FIRST interview, of the 3 YouTube links on the blog page, here, which features a girl with a much higher pitched, livelier voice:

I’ve listened to both of them. Both are Rachel Jeantel. The reasons her voice sounds “higher pitched” and “livelier” in the Crump interview are that Crump recorded her over a speaker phone and she was in a closet where the sound waves don’t dispurse as they would in large room. (She may also have been using her bluetooth headset.) Additionally, the small tape recorder that Crump used also creates some distortion in the playback.
If you listen to the syllables of several words, you will hear that they are pronounced the same way. For example, the word “call.”
Still catching up.
I could be very wrong. Come to think about it, I once was! (joking, of course - been confused and wrong so many times. Anyone who makes it my age and won’t admit to error should be avoided like the black plague, or the “slims”.
