Money is what drives Fox News, so you can take a guess. They may have thought she had been rehabilitated.
I don't think Fox News expected her to threaten the GOP. Roger Ailes is not probably not a very happy man, and I'm sure his liberal boss, ole Rupert, is definitely not very happy.

Roger Ailes is not probably not a very happy man, and I'm sure his liberal boss, ole Rupert, is definitely not very happy.So they fire her, good it gives her more publicity and a spring board especially if they do it over the "Freedom" Party. Not to mention they loose viewer-ship.
