Egyptian security and medical officials say an American has been killed in the Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria during clashes between supporters and opponents of Egypt's embattled President Mohammed Morsi.
Alexandria security chief Gen. Amin Ezz Eddin told Al-Jazeera TV that an American was killed Friday in Sidi Gabr Square while photographing the battles between opposition youth and members of the Muslim Brotherhood, from which Morsi hails.
A medical official told The Associated Press the American was wounded by gunshots and died at the hospital.

Yes we do....and at a time when people can get there...but it looks to me like ‘all’ Egypt basically shut down so they could all be there. Not so sure Amercians have the guts to do this because at this point they haven’t suffered.....
Egypt had little fuel...bread and the basics...plus high crimes and thuggery....we aren’t there yet.
Just heard that in the city of Mahalla, the Salafists asked for “Hudna=peace” and they’re discussing it. However, the rebels are refusing to agree because what was done to the young people by the Salafists in the last two years, including murders.
The rebels may not fight the Salafists but will not agree to forget about rebel demands.
In Egypt, last report said 4 are dead and 500 injured so far in June 30. July is starting in 5 minutes.
Looks to me like Egypt is showing us how to do this....I do think somethings got to be done before O finishes his term....

IMO the Tea Party needs to take things up to a whole new level. Tea Party 2.0 if you will. There is already a lot of anger and frustration in the country over IRS, NSA, unemployment, economic stagnation, excessive government control, etc. A massive march on DC could make a big statement and potentially start the process of turning the country around.
You got that right!

Stunning pic. Thanks for posting.
Definitely heating up. Women are adviced to leave #Tahrir due to assaults, and clashes at MB headquarters are intensifying.
Throwing fire ...but not sure where this is located.

Maybe....but it won’t work unless the crowd is gigantic...and support from some direction to bring it on homw.
Remember the huge marches before and that got us no where....nadaaa....
Further it has to be more than tea party people...and not under that banner IMO....too many who are opposing what Obamas doing aren’t going to align with the tea party...it has t be several groups coming togehter to march...it’ll never work otherwise.
I may have missed this in earlier posts, but what is the objective of helicopters’ green lasers?
Conflicting tweets ... some say protesters are cheering them on and to bring in the army. Others tweet they are uneasy and the lasers are used to deter or hamper helicopters.
An Egyptian Democratic party leader has been killed by the Ikhwan in a fight with the rebels in Alexandria.
“they are uneasy and the lasers are used to deter or hamper helicopters.”
I believe they are just kids fooling around with cameras and planes, etc.
A butane bomb exploded at the Mokattam Ikhwan HQ in Cairo. The Ikhwan are firing automatic weapons and shotguns from sanbagged positions at the rebels.
To gray Humvees of the security forces arrived and it’s still vague.
Stay tuned.
